Return Policy

At DropTaxi Services, we aim to provide a smooth and reliable taxi-booking experience. Since we offer transportation and service-based bookings, our return and refund rules apply differently compared to physical products. Please read this policy carefully to understand when refunds may or may not be issued.


1. No Returns on Completed Rides

Once a ride has been successfully completed, no returns or refunds will be provided for the fare, unless the issue is clearly due to:

  • Driver misconduct

  • Incorrect fare calculation

  • Service not delivered as promised

  • Duplicate charges

In such cases, you may raise a request within 24 hours of ride completion.


2. Refunds for Cancelled Bookings

Refunds may be issued only under the following conditions:

a) Cancellation by the customer

  • If the customer cancels within 5 minutes of booking – No cancellation fee.

  • If the customer cancels after 5 minutes, a cancellation fee may be applied depending on distance and driver assignment.

b) Cancellation by the driver

If the assigned driver cancels or does not arrive:

  • Full refund will be issued if prepaid.

  • No cancellation charge will be applied.


3. Prepaid Booking Refunds

If you made an advance payment (online payment):

  • Full refund when the booking is cancelled before a driver is assigned.

  • Partial refund or cancellation charges may apply after driver assignment.

  • Failed or delayed payment transactions will be refunded automatically to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.


4. Delays, Route Changes & Traffic

Refunds will not be provided for:

  • Traffic delays

  • Route changes due to road conditions

  • Government restrictions

  • Weather-related delays

  • Driver taking a longer route (unless provable misconduct)


5. No-Show Policy

If the customer does not arrive at the pickup location:

  • The booking will be marked as No-Show

  • No refund will be issued for prepaid rides

  • Driver waiting charges may apply


6. Safety-Related Refund Requests

If a ride is stopped or cancelled due to:

  • Misconduct by the passenger

  • Illegal activities

  • Passenger intoxication

  • Threatening behavior

β†’ No refund will be issued, and future bookings may be blocked.


7. How to Request a Refund

You can request a refund by contacting our support team:

To process your request quickly, please provide:

  • Booking ID

  • Registered phone number

  • Date & time of booking

  • Reason for refund request

Our team will respond within 24–48 hours.


8. Refund Processing Time

Once approved:

  • Refunds to credit/debit cards β†’ 5–7 business days

  • UPI refunds β†’ 1–3 business days

  • Wallet refunds β†’ Instant or up to 24 hours

Processing times depend on the payment provider.


9. Changes to This Policy

DropTaxi Services reserves the right to update this Return & Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated date.
